In order to enhance the development of Natural Ingredient Medicines (OBA) and increase the knowledge of business players in the natural ingredient medicine sector, the Ministry of Health is conducting a Coaching Clinic and Business Matching program focused on managing raw materials for Natural Ingredient Medicines. This activity is being conducted as a roadshow in three cities across the island of Java, namely in West Java, Central Java, and East Java.

The event kicked off in Solo from June 6-8, 2024, at the Grand Mercure Solo Hotel, followed by Bekasi from July 23-25, 2024, at the Ciputra Hotel, and concluded in Surabaya from August 21-23, 2024, at the Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya.

In this Coaching Clinic & Business Matching event, the Ministry of Health partnered with two associations, AIRINDO and GP Jamu. AIRINDO, as the Indonesian Association of Natural Ingredient and Spice Extract Industries, is expected to provide knowledge on the management of raw materials for natural ingredient medicines and to directly interact with industry players. GP Jamu, in this case, encouraged its members (UKOT/UMOT) in each region to attend, expand their knowledge, and explore purchasing raw materials from AIRINDO members. In each activity, more than 25 UMKM/UKOT/UMOT companies participated along with all AIRINDO members.

The Coaching Clinic & Business Matching event also featured several speakers, including representatives from the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) who discussed the standardization of raw materials for natural ingredient medicines, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture who presented on the potential of medicinal plant commodities in each region. AIRINDO also provided its own speakers to deliver presentations on the management of natural ingredient medicine extracts.

We hope this activity can continue to strengthen AIRINDO's visibility in the industry and enable AIRINDO to keep providing easy access to natural ingredient medicines that meet GMP standards, quality, and safety, thereby facilitating easier access for business players, especially UMKM.
